The Chamberlain Scholarship, funded by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy, provides one AFP Central Iowa fundraising professional with full registration to AFP ICON, the world’s largest conference for fundraisers.
AFP ICON brings together thousands of fundraising professionals from around the world for learning, collaboration, and career-building. The Chamberlain Scholarship helps ensure that talented professionals from all backgrounds have access to this opportunity by covering 100% of AFP ICON registration fees. (Recipients are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meals.)
AFP Central Iowa selects one scholar to receive this award each year. Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be employed as a fundraising professional, or be an executive director who devotes a substantial amount of time to fundraising
• Have never attended AFP ICON (or its predecessor, the International Conference on Fundraising) as a registered participant
• Commit to attending the full conference
• Be willing to complete a post-conference evaluation
• Agree to share their AFP ICON experience with AFP Central Iowa after the conference
• Only one applicant per organization may be selectedApplications will be reviewed by the AFP Central Iowa Scholarship Committee on January 23, 2026. The selected scholar will be notified by/before January 28, 2026.
